The imac, as apple would say, is the ultimate all-in-one desktop computer. The iMac, due to its ingenuity, has garnered a lot of critical acclaim. This includes the praise from Walt Mossberg, who is a very famous technology columnist, where he dubbed imac as the “Gold Standard of desktop computing”. Forbes Magazine also gave its praise to this new kind of technology and described the original candy-colored line of iMac computers as being an “industry-altering success”.

The first 24″ Core 2 Duo iMac has gotten the CNET’s “Must-have desktop” title in their Top 10 Holiday Gift Picks for the year 2006. As of March 3, 2009, the Apple Company has updated their products and services for the iMac, where they feature new NVIDIA chipsets, the new Mini-DisplayPort and a unique standard keyboard where there were no numeric pads, which they made as a standard look in all new Apple computers.
