There are a few models in the Blackberry Bold product family but by far the most versatile is the Blackberry 9700 and it comes standard with a few upgrades. Both Bold models have the microSD card plug in to take your storage needs to 32 GB with the current SD technology. However the Bold 9700 has twice the RAM with 256 MB and comes with a started microSD card with 2GB as opposed to the 9000′s 1 GB.
If you find yourself in areas without Carrier coverage a lot then you’ll be relying on Private and Public WiFi a lot. The 9000 is 802.11a compatible, but most places offering service to the public and guests now provide 802.11b/g which the Bold 9700 is ready for. Plus the bold 9700 is ready for your WiFi carriers home cell coverage extension with its UMA support and is app ready for the Blackberry suite of proprietary apps via the Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Full network coverage in Tri and Quad mode is available across the Bold line but again only the Blackberry 9700 cover the UMTS networks at 2100/1900/850/800 MHz and 2100/1700/900 MHz for broadband voice and data applications that optimize the abilities of the 3G networks it is on.
Both of the Bold mobiles are fine data/voice instruments but the Bold 9700 does have a few nuances that some people might opt for over the 9000.
